November 2007 Fox IT trainer wins Trainer of the Year award Fox IT Client Manager John Griffiths was awarded the first Trainer of the Year at the itSMF awards ceremony in Brighton, UK. Nominated by several students, John received the award in recognition of high student satisfaction. October 2007 Fox IT-Kalendae partnership recognized by itSMF Less than two years since the launch of the Fox IT-Kalendae partnership, the members of itSMF Brazil have voted Kalendae Fox IT the ITSM Services Company for 2007. The award was made following voting by 500 members attending the fourth itSMF Brazil annual conference. September 2007 Lynda Cooper at itSMF USA Fusion 07 Fox IT's Lynda Cooper spoke at itSMF USA Fusion 07, the itSMF USA's annual conference and expo in September 2007. Lynda's workshop, entitled "ISO20000: What, Why, and How" was an introduction to the ISO20000 standard and certification path. July 2007 ISO20000 webinar with Lynda Cooper Fox IT's Lynda Cooper was joined by BSI Management's John DiMaria for a introductory webinar on the ISO20000 standard. This webinar introduced ISO20000 and explained the key aspects of the standard including business drivers, the certification path, and mapping to ITIL v3. June 2007 ITIL v3 webinar with Vernon Lloyd Fox IT's Vernon Lloyd delivered a webinar on ITIL v3 which summarized the various updated and changes to this latest version of ITIL. ITIL v3 launch events Fox IT's Vernon Lloyd participated in the itSMF's US launch events for ITIL v3 in San Jose on June 12 and Chicago on June 15. May 2007 ISO/IEC 20000 conference in Moscow Fox IT's Lynda Cooper represented the UK as a Principal Expert at an ISO/IEC 20000 committee meeting in Moscow. Representatives from around the world met for 3 days and discussed topics including the impact of ITIL v3 and potential updates to the Standard, which is expected to be published in about 2 years. In addition, Lynda was appointed as Technical Editor for Part 1 of the Standard for future updates ITIL v3 launch events Fox IT's Vernon Lloyd participated in the itSMF's launch event for ITIL v3 in Portugal on May 22-23. ITIL version 3 training Fox IT has released two new ITIL training courses in conjunction with the release of ITIL version 3 in late May. Available now, ITIL v3 Conversion is a one-day course aimed at helping students with sound knowledge of ITIL v2 understand the updates and changes in ITIL v3. Available in mid-June, ITIL Foundation is an accredited course based on the new, official version 3 Foundation syllabus and leading to the ITIL version 3 Foundation certificate. April 2007 2007 HDI service excellence award Fox IT client Anchor Trust was awarded the Help Desk Institute's Service Excellence Award for Smaller Teams at HDI's Annual Conference in April. The award goes to a team of support professionals up to 15 members which has shown excellent support service to its customers. Anchor Trust chose Service-now.com from Fox IT in September 2006; a case study on the implementation is available. |
